Student Work

The following is student work, shared with their permission. Most of the work was from my Digital Humanities Seminar:

Digital Portfolio – Madeline Short (shortmhistory.com) (undergrad)

Kevin McGrath blog – Mcgratke WordPress site (reclaim.hosting) (grad)

My Digitizing Incarceration: A Database of Unfreedoms project on records from 18th and 19th century slave jails is an interdisciplinary faculty-student collaboration between the Simmons History and Computer Science Departments. Further information on the project can be found here

Former MA thesis student Adam McNeil (now a PhD Candidate at Rutgers) began his work on the New Books Network on African American Studies Podcast while he was a student at Simmons. As of December 2021, Adam has recorded 89 podcast episodes, and is the 2021-2022 inaugural Omohundro Institute Audio Fellow. He has also consulted on The Ben Franklin’s World Podcast with Liz Covart.
